Hey, I’m Ethan.
Welcome to my online portal to the possible.
In 2016, I launched this blog to offer perspective from a close brush with death and a means of experiencing the world through super-cheap, far-flung, clarity-inducing adventures of travel.
As I wondered, wandered, and wrote, the blog and I evolved. Beyond inciting adventure, a broader hope to shake people and offer a path to further realms of possibility and better ways of being developed.
Today, I write about all things profound, useful, and moving to me — from vipassana meditation to the art of the road trip to when to say yes or no to the lenses through which we view reality to the concept of surfing time.

Holy moly, am I happy to make the introduction: 17 Ideas That Changed My Life is out, live, and available printed for purchase (and free to download).
A sort of “philosophical coffee table book,” it’s a photo-heavy homage and collection of the most useful and profound ideas I’ve found and integrated into my lens on life over a decade of exploring ideas (traveling, reading hundreds of books, deep soaks in diverse cultures etc.).
