There are billions of pages on the internet and trying to find the best ones often feels like finding a needle in a haystack.
“Favorites” is my simple solution — a collection of links to what I personally consider the best pages on the entire web.
Below is a list of links to the Favorites of others. Dig them, for links to the profoundest of podcasts, videos, articles, tools, and any other sort of other people’s “bests.”
Do you have a presence on the web? Make your own, send a link my way via the form in the Q&A below, and I’ll add it to the list.

Your Favorites here (build your own Favorites page, send the link my way, and I’ll add it to the list).
*As you may notice on other pages, Favorites were originally called Needlestacks. In 2023, I changed the name to better convey the idea.
Q&A
Favorites are a collection of links to what you personally consider the best things on the entire internet. Favorites are for sharing the best things you have found. Browsing someone’s Favorites is a means of finding the best things you have yet to discover.
A while ago, I realized that the internet simply wasn’t browsable by best. The goal of the Favorites is to change this.
If you already have a website:
Create a new page on your site with a /favorites URL.
Title the page “Favorites” and add links to what you consider the best things on the entire internet.
Include a link back to this “More Favorites” page. This way, we can weave a web of what’s best across the web. Something like “*find more Favorites here” would do the trick. Or maybe start a list of your “Favorite Favorites” below yours and include a link to mine?
If you don’t already have a website, but have been meaning to create one, use WordPress, Squarespace, or another website builder to create one and then follow the above steps.
Sure, but Favorites posted on social media sites will not be added to the “More Favorites” list on this page. The reason for this is to keep things simple (social media sites often require an account, permissions, or other hurdles to view a post).
Good intentions are key. Your Favorites should link to what you consider the best pages on the internet, otherwise what’s the point?
Build your Favorites however you see fit. No need to follow my format, be creative with it.
Affiliate links are cool, but are a slippery slope. Please only include a link if you truly consider it one of the best things on the internet, not because you might receive money if someone clicks it.
Be specific with your links. For example, podcast episodes and blog posts are more specific than podcasts and blogs. Link to the best of the best, we can explore from there.
Update your Favorites whenever. Your Favorites can evolve with you and your future remarkable internet encounters.
Once you have created your Favorites as described and defined above, drop your info into the form below and I’ll add it to the list.

**Some of the links above are affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and buy something, I may receive a small percentage of its price. I consider this a nice, additional incentive to share your Favorites, but never a reason to add a link. Every link should point on merit alone to what one considers among the best on the internet. Otherwise, what’s the point?
